CARING FOR YOUR ITEM Custom Kākahu (Māori Feather Cloak) and Korowai are considered by many to be a precious family legacy and a well loved item by all Whanau.  Please store your Kākahu carefully when not in use and never put it in a washing machine.  The inner material can be wiped clean with a very lightly dampened sponge but the feathers should never get wet to preserve the integrity, look and structure of your garment. Our contemporary custom Kākahu Korowai are made using only quality materials and backing. Although we love and appreciate traditional weaving of Māori Korowai and Kākahu, flax weaved material disintegrates faster and takes many months to complete. At Wild Whaea our contemporary Kākahu are hand and machine made, which can last generations with care.

REFUNDS AND RETURNS We do not accept returns on any used items or offer refunds on custom orders. We guarantee our workmanship and commitment to quality so if your item does not reach you in perfect condition, your postage insurance will cover any damage in transit.  If you are not happy with your item in any way, please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss your issue and we will do our best to rectify the problem. We regret that we are unable to provide refunds if you are not happy with your customised design.
